Former product manager Amanda DeLuca created Riley, a cutting-edge parenting management app, inspired by her own challenges as a new parent and feedback from other families.
DeLuca’s extensive experience in the tech industry at companies such as Google and Etsy, coupled with her personal journey as a parent, highlighted the need for an efficient and comprehensive parenting solution.
Riley addresses this need with its dual functionalities: a comprehensive tracking system for essential baby care activities (sleep, diaper changes, vaccines, feeding) and an AI-powered answer platform that provides personalized advice. The platform leverages medical and psychological research, supported by a clinical board, to deliver reliable and tailored guidance.
“Our focus is on combining parental data with evidence-based knowledge, setting a high standard for quality,” DeLuca explains.
Riley offers a customizable onboarding process, gathering information about the family’s parenting style and co-caregivers. In the future, it will delve deeper into understanding the baby’s personality traits for more accurate insights.
Currently, Riley is in public beta with a 30-day free trial. Subscription plans range from $9.99 to $14.99 per month. The company plans to exit beta later this year and offer additional training guides for parents.
Riley joins a growing trend of apps that leverage AI and personalized data for various aspects of life. To expand its reach, Riley secured $3.1 million in seed funding led by True Ventures.
Natasha Sharma of True Ventures emphasizes the need for reliable parental guidance amidst the abundance of information available.
“Riley offers science-backed advice tailored to each family’s unique situation,” Sharma says. “It empowers parents to raise happy and healthy children with confidence.”
