Mistral’s Le Chat AI Assistant Surpasses 1 Million Downloads in 14 Days

Following its launch, Mistral’s AI assistant Le Chat has garnered over one million downloads within just two weeks. The application achieved notable success in France, topping the iOS App Store’s free downloads chart. Notably, French President Emmanuel Macron endorsed Le Chat in a television interview prior to the recent AI Action Summit in Paris.

This achievement follows the success of other AI applications in recent months. In November 2023, OpenAI’s ChatGPT gained significant traction, accumulating 500,000 downloads in its first six days of availability. According to Appfigures, ChatGPT has now surpassed 350 million downloads. DeepSeek’s AI-powered mobile app also reached one million downloads between January 10 and January 31.

However, Mistral faces competition from technology giants such as Google and Microsoft. Google’s Gemini and Microsoft’s Copilot are among the contenders in the AI assistant market, seeking to establish their presence on users’ devices.
