Meta’s CTO Urges Employees to Resign Amid Policy Disagreements

Meta’s Chief Technology Officer, Andrew Bosworth, has sent a direct message to employees expressing his stance on those who are dissatisfied with the company’s recent policy adjustments. Bosworth stated that employees who disagree with the company’s policies are free to resign, as reported by Business Insider.

The issue arose from an internal discussion where an employee voiced concerns about Meta’s decision to reduce diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and allegedly suppress internal dissent. Bosworth responded by stating that any employee who believes it is acceptable to leak information to the media due to policy conflicts should consider seeking employment elsewhere.

Another employee argued that blaming leaks was not an appropriate solution and highlighted the perceived disrespect felt by Meta workers. Bosworth’s response was, “You should quit if you feel that way, I mean it.”

This tense exchange reflects the turmoil within Meta as it implements major policy changes, ranging from the scaling back of DEI initiatives to the relaxation of content moderation standards. Meta has not yet commented on the matter when contacted for a response.
