Over the past few years, Google I/O has heavily emphasized artificial intelligence (AI), and this trend is anticipated to continue in 2025. The rapidly evolving AI landscape, fueled by competition from OpenAI, DeepSeek, and others, will likely be a major focus of the event.
If you’re eager for updates, the I/O 2025 website is now live, offering access to developer content from previous years, such as Gemma, Google AI Studio, and NotebookLM.
Google’s I/O conference will face some competition this year, with Microsoft Build scheduled for May 19-22 in Seattle. However, the developer conference season officially begins with Nvidia’s GTC from March 17-21, followed by Apple’s WWDC in June.
