Bluesky Rolls Out Tailored Vertical Video Feed

In answer to a growing demand for vertical videos, Bluesky has unveiled its custom video feed within their app. This addition gives users easy access to trending vertical videos from the Explore tab.

Like other short video apps, Bluesky’s tailored feed enables viewers to swipe through an array of trending content. Users have the option to anchor the feed to their home screen or list of feeds, for a personalized viewing experience.

The company stated, “Just like any other feed, the video feeds can be pinned or unpinned based on user preference, giving Bluesky users a chance to personalize their experience.”

Bluesky also recognized the developing TikTok alternatives on AT Protocol — the backbone of Bluesky — such as Tik.Blue, Skylight.Social, and Bluescreen.Blue. These emerging apps are currently in their testing phases.

Given the uncertainty surrounding TikTok and other ByteDance applications, Bluesky’s user base surged, crossing the 28 million-user milestone recently.

Capitalizing on current market trends, other platforms such as Elon Musk’s X and Meta have also launched feeds for vertical videos, and video editing apps respectively.
