Athenic AI: Revolutionizing Enterprises With Centralized AI-Driven Data Analytics

Data analytics drew Jared Zhao’s attention during his period at UC Berkeley. His fascination with transforming raw data into comprehensive narratives led to the birth of his first data analytics startup, Polyture, in 2021. However, a sudden surge in generative AI advancements hinted Zhao about the simplification of what Polyture was creating for post-ChatGPT era users. This directed him towards a fresh start.

Born from such a transition was Athenic AI, a tech startup applying AI for enterprise-wide data analytics. As its founder and CEO, Zhao delivers Athenic’s product portfolio aspiring to serve as an organization’s main hub for databases, accessible to everyone, disregarding their coding or data handling skills.

Constructed to be adaptable, Athenic AI commits to cooperating with firms to familiarize itself with the unique company “tribal knowledge”, central performance indices (KPIs), or internal vocabulary supporting the AI to run precise analytics.

To promote transparency and foster the illusion of an authentic data analyst, the AI-driven method includes explanations of data interpretation with each data report it generates. While maximising accuracy is the intention, Zhao accepts that even human data analysts are not perfectly accurate.

In 2022, Athenic AI was launched with a fresh product line during the summer. After its inception, Athenic has attracted a broad range of customers – from small-scale startups to corporate giants including Additel and PMC.

Recently, Athenic AI declared a seed round of $4.3 million commanded by BMW i Ventures in conjunction with TenVC and others. Intending to employ and expand tech abilities, Zhao hopes to shift the system from user-oriented queries to an innately insightful data-driven service.

Athenic’s unique approach of equipping the AI models with company-specific context attracted attention among other data analytics startups, according to Samantha Huang – a principal at BMW i Ventures.

In an increasingly crowded data analytics market, Zhao is setting his eyes on improving user experience and ensuring AI models are contextualized correctly, which he believes sets Athenic AI distinctive.
