Samsung’s CES conference last week hinted at what users can look forward to – the forthcoming Samsung Unpacked event slated for January 22 at 10 a.m. PT. Expectations are already high for the event which will be live-streamed via Samsung’s site and YouTube channel.
Samsung has turned the anticipation notch a degree higher by offering $50 Samsung store credit for pre-event reservations. Terms and conditions can be found on their site.
The Galaxy S25 series is the star attraction of the event. Samsung’s pattern of unveiling new flagships has been predictable – the Galaxy S series around January/February, with new revised models in the summer. The S25 series will include key models: S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra – the premium device that showcases the S line’s absorption of the Galaxy Note.
Leaks and rumors have fueled speculation with hints pointing to the S25 series maintaining the aesthetic of its predecessor but with a leaner profile. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, unveiled last October in Hawaii by Qualcomm, is likely to feature as the device’s central processing unit.
Samsung is geared to introduce the Galaxy AI as the main attraction, setting itself apart in the artificial intelligence arena and distinguishing its product from Google Gemini features available on Android devices.
Also anticipated, though not with certainty, are the successor to the Galaxy Ring wearable and a preview of Project Moohan, an Extended Reality headset developed in partnership with Google.
