Anthropic aims to bring to market a revolutionary two-way voice mode for their AI chatbot, Claude. The intention disclosed by Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei also encompasses a new memory enhancement that will allow Claude to recall more about its users and past interactions.
During the World Economic Forum at Davos, Amodei spoke to The Wall Street Journal and hinted at the forthcoming releases of “intelligent” AI models in the months to come. The past year has seen a significant demand leap, which took Anthropic by surprise.
“We’ve been flooded by the upsurge of demand lately, specifically in the most recent quarter. This has made it challenging for us to supply the necessary computation,” observed Amodei.
In an industry heavily dependent on capital, Anthropic is striving to maintain its position against its major competitor, OpenAI. Despite securing $13.7 billion in financial backing, billions were reportedly lost by Anthropic last year. Now, the company reportedly seeks to raise an additional $2 billion, targeting a $60 billion valuation.
