The AI behemoth, Anthropic, reportedly attracts an extra $1 billion from Google, targeting to unveil bunch of significant product updates this year.
As per Financial Times, Google’s additional investment escalates its entire stake in Anthropic to a whopping $3 billion. The last year saw the tech giant infusing $2 billion into Anthropic.
Moreover, Anthropic is also courting an additional $2 billion from investors such as Lightspeed, with an impressive valuation of $60 billion. This move aligns with the company’s ambitious goals for 2025.
In a recent interview, Anthropic’s CEO, Dario Amodei revealed the plan to roll out new AI models. Also, there will be an introduction of a “two-way” voice chat and internet access for its chatbot, Claude. A ground-breaking AI system, dubbed as “Virtual Collaborator,” is also in the pipeline. As per Amodei, this system operates on PCs, accomplishes workflows, writes and verifies code. It also interacts with users via apps like Google Docs and Slack.
According to the database Crunchbase, Anthropic has raised a substantial fund of approximately $14.7 billion in total.
