By autonomously conducting interviews and screening candidates, Maki claims its platform can enhance the hiring process, improve candidate experience, and decrease staff turnover.

Maki’s AI-based tools engage with candidates through voice, video, or text, automating 80% of the process and slashing time-to-hire. These adaptable AI agents, customized to fit client needs, undertake tasks traditionally performed by humans in the recruiting process.

Maki’s CEO, Maxime Legardez, stated that their AI agent built for H&M, called Maria, can conduct multi-language conversations with candidates, evaluating hundreds of skills. These include customer empathy, cooperation, and resilience, to name a few. Applicants who are rejected receive personalized feedback, conversion into potential brand advocates.

Independent audits indicate that Maki’s AI demonstrates less bias compared to human recruiters. This unbiased hiring approach may potentially create more diverse work environments.

Despite competition from SHL, EON, Pymetrics, and Saville, among others, Maki distinguishes itself not by selling conventional HR software, but by automating human tasks through their AI agents.
