In the wake of xAI’s release of Grok 3, the AI software company X has implemented a significant price increase for its Premium+ subscription plan. This premium tier, which grants access to the latest Grok model, now costs $40 per month in the United States, a substantial jump from the previous $22. The annual subscription has also been raised to $350.
X has extended these price increases globally, affecting markets such as the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. In the UK, the monthly price has climbed to £35 from £17, while in European countries like France and Germany, it has risen from €21.00 to €38 per month.
This is the second price adjustment for X’s Premium+ plan in recent months, following a December increase from $16 to $22 per month. The current price represents more than double the previous cost for this subscription tier.
xAI’s Grok 3 release has also resulted in the introduction of SuperGrok, a separate plan available through the Grok app. This plan offers advanced features like “deep search” and “reasoning” that are not included in Premium+.
It’s important to note that X’s pricing appears to be inconsistent. While the support page lists the monthly cost as $50, the sign-up page displays $48.40 per month. The final checkout page, however, charges $40 per month.
