After xAI unveiled the latest iteration of its AI model, Grok 3, X has implemented a substantial price increase for its Premium+ subscription plan. This premium tier, which provides access to the advanced AI model, now costs nearly $50 per month.
X’s support page reflects the updated pricing, with the monthly Premium+ plan in the U.S. priced at $50 and the annual subscription at $350. This represents the second price hike for the Premium+ plan within the past few months. In December, the monthly subscription increased from $16 to $22.
xAI has segregated certain features of Grok 3 into a separate SuperGrok plan accessible through the Grok app. As a result, Premium+ plan users will have limited access to advanced capabilities such as deep search and reasoning.
Notably, X’s pricing remains inconsistent. When attempting to sign up for the Premium+ plan, the initial display shows a cost of $39.83 per month ($477.95 annually). However, the final checkout page indicates a discounted price of $395 for an annual subscription.
Similarly, X’s support page lists a monthly cost of $50, but the signup page shows a price of $48.40 per month. The checkout page charges $40 per month. These price discrepancies require further clarification from X.
