Tesla Set to Roll Out Revamped Model Y in North America this March

Tesla’s revamped Model Y SUV is set to hit North American markets in March, starting at nearly $60,000. This event is happening concurrently with the vehicle’s debut in various Asian markets.

The relaunch comes at a key juncture for Tesla, which experienced a downturn in deliveries in 2024 compared to 2023. Tesla aims to rebound with new models, intended for existing production lines, which are anticipated to be more affordable than their current range.

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, implied that these upcoming offerings, in conjunction with the slated Cybercab, would signal Tesla’s shift from solely manufacturing vehicles towards a broader focus on robotics and AI.

However, Tesla’s vehicle options have aged. Despite refreshing its core models – the Model S & 3 sedans and Model X & Y SUVs – only one new model, the Cybertruck, has launched in the past four years.

The refreshed Model Y, though expensive, could bring relief. Priced at $59,990, the “Launch Series” special edition boasts a 320-mile range battery and includes Tesla’s advanced driver assistance software, typically an extra $8,000.

Notable changes to the Model Y include an exterior facelift, with a redefined front facade and a rear light strip. Inside, additions encompass a rear-passenger touchscreen, powered rear seats, and improved suspension.
